Hotel Water Filtration Systems

Protect cooling systems and facility water so building teams can keep service dependable.

Hotel water filtration removes solids and debris from the water that supports HVAC and cooling systems, laundry, kitchens, and facility operations.

Yardney RCW systems protect recirculating cooling water, and Yardney media filters handle facility water streams.

  • RCW systems from 10 gpm
  • Media filters from 10 gpm and up
  • Skid-mounted and fully assembled

Why Hotels Need Water Filtration

Hotels use water across HVAC, laundry, kitchens, and facility operations, and solids and debris in those systems can reduce efficiency and increase maintenance. Cooling and heating, laundry, and kitchens are among the largest water uses in a typical hotel.

Filtration protects cooling systems, improves operational reliability, and supports consistent water quality in high-usage environments. That reduces downtime and helps building teams maintain comfortable, dependable service.

Benefits

Protect Cooling Systems: Remove solids before they reach condensers and HVAC components.

Improve Reliability: Keep facility equipment running with less solids loading.

Support Water Quality Consistency: Hold quality steady across high-usage periods.

Reduce Downtime: Fewer solids-related problems mean fewer service interruptions.

Yardney RCW Systems for Hotel Cooling Water

Yardney RCW systems are skid-mounted, fully assembled filtration systems for recycled cooling tower water. Each one pairs a pump and motor with a sand media filter, centrifugal sand separator, Maxi Flush screen, or Filtaworx, chosen for your flow and solids.

For other facility streams, Yardney Sand Media filters remove suspended solids down to 20 microns from 10 gpm, and Mini Media filters cover lower flows from 15 to 45 gpm. Our Cooling Tower Basin page covers the cooling loop in more detail.

Applications

  • Recycled cooling tower water for commercial buildings and campuses
  • Removal of sand, rock, grit, and other inorganic contaminants
  • Removal of algae, slime, and other organic contaminants
  • Facility water streams and wash-down (media filters)
  • Flow from 10 gpm; 80 psi standard operating pressure (RCW)

Standard Assembly Includes (RCW)

  • Full assembly on a skid mount
  • Pump, motor, and motor starter
  • Inlet, outlet, and backwash manifolds
  • Grooved couplings on manifolds
  • Controller and solenoids
  • Electrical wire and tubing

Available Options

  • ASME code
  • High-pressure rating
  • PLC controller
  • Custom filter station layout piping
  • Solar package

Hotel Water Filtration Process

  • Water from the cooling loop or facility stream is routed into the filtration system.
  • The selected technology captures or separates suspended solids and debris.
  • Filtered water returns to the cooling system or continues to the facility equipment it protects.
  • Captured solids are released by backwash from media and screen filters, or by purge from separators.

Filtration removes suspended solids. It does not replace cooling water treatment, domestic water treatment, or disinfection programs.

Filtration Technology Options

RCW Recirculating Water: skid-mounted systems for recycled cooling tower water; from 10 gpm, 80 psi standard

Sand Media: organic and inorganic suspended solids down to 20 microns; from 10 gpm; backwash runs one tank at a time

Mini Media: sand media filtration for lower flows, 15 to 45 gpm; 125 psi standard operating pressure

Hotels Filtration FAQs

What is hotel water filtration?

It removes solids and debris from water used in cooling and HVAC systems, laundry, kitchens, and other facility operations so equipment stays protected.

The cooling tower and recirculating loop are a natural starting point, since solids reach condensers and HVAC components there. Other facility streams can be filtered where solids stress equipment.

No. Filtration removes suspended solids. Cooling water treatment, domestic water treatment, and disinfection programs are separate.

Hotel cooling towers accumulate solids that can foul heat exchangers, so they are a common starting point. The Cooling Tower Basin page explains basin and recirculation-point filtration in more detail.
