Car Wash Water Filtration Systems
Car wash water filtration removes grit, sand, and suspended solids from wash and reclaim water so pumps, spray nozzles, and reclaim systems keep running at peak demand.
Yardney centrifugal sand separators and screen filters are built for solids removal, with purple reclaim-ready finishes available.
Car washes rely on consistent flow and clean water to protect pumps, spray nozzles, and reclaim systems from grit, sand, and debris. Reclaim water that carries sediment can clog nozzles and wear pumps, so it needs to be filtered before it is reused.
Removing suspended solids early supports clearer wash quality, reduces nozzle plugging and equipment wear, and improves reuse performance. That helps operators reduce water consumption and keep systems running smoothly during peak demand.
Reduce Nozzle Plugging: Remove grit and debris that clog spray nozzles.
Protect Pumps: Reduce the sand and sediment that wear down pumps.
Improve Reuse Performance: Cleaner reclaim water supports more reuse and helps reduce water consumption.
Support Clearer Wash Quality: Keep solids out of the water that reaches vehicles.
Maxi-Clean screen filters are designed for high-performance solids removal where durability and economy matter. Their large screen area produces less than 2 psi pressure drop, with long run times between cleanings.
Filter socks are field changeable, washable, and replaceable in 40, 80, 100, 150, and 200 mesh, filtering down to 75 microns. Housings are available in purple for reclaim water applications.

Filtration removes suspended solids. It does not remove dissolved chemicals, so reclaim water quality may still depend on other treatment.
Centrifugal Sand Separator: solids with a specific gravity of 2 or greater, 98% down to 75 microns; manual or automatic purge; flows from 4 gpm
Maxi-Clean Screen: down to 75 microns, 40 to 200 mesh filter socks, flows from 110 gpm, manual flush
Maxi Flush Screen: down to 75 microns, 40 to 200 mesh cartridges, flows from 250 gpm, automatic backwash
Reclaim water that carries sediment can clog nozzles and wear pumps. Filtering out suspended solids protects that equipment and improves how well reclaimed water can be reused.
Grit, sand, and debris are the main culprits. They plug spray nozzles, wear pumps, and reduce reclaim system performance.
Centrifugal sand separators remove heavy sand and grit, and Maxi-Clean and Maxi Flush screens filter down to 75 microns. Separators start at 4 gpm, Maxi-Clean at 110 gpm, and Maxi Flush at 250 gpm.
Yes. Maxi-Clean, Maxi Flush, and basket strainer housings are available in purple for reclaim water applications.
Removing solids early improves reuse performance, which can help operators reduce water consumption. Results depend on your wash system and reclaim setup.
